alike03's Subscription Info

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the alike03's Subscription Info browser extension accesses, what it sends to the server, and what is stored.

Last updated: 20 July 2026

In short
  • The extension has no user accounts and shows no ads.
  • It sends the Steam app IDs of the store pages you view to our server to look up subscription availability. These lookups are not stored or linked to you.
  • Your settings stay in your own browser (synced by your browser account, not by us).
  • Only when you manually submit an error report do we store the details of that report.
  • We do not sell or share your data.

Permissions the extension uses

The extension requests only the storage permission, which it uses to save your own settings (see below). Its content script runs on Steam store pages (store.steampowered.com) to read the game's Steam app ID and display subscription badges. It communicates with aligueler.com and sub.aligueler.com to fetch subscription data.

Data processed during normal use

When you view a game on Steam, the extension sends that game's Steam app ID (a public numeric identifier of the game, not of you) to our server to check whether it is part of a tracked subscription service. These lookups are used only to return the result to you: they are not stored, not logged, and not associated with your identity or IP address. Responses are cached by game so repeated lookups are served efficiently.

Your settings

Your preferences — which subscription platforms are enabled and the popup time-frame — are stored using your browser's built-in extension storage. If your browser syncs extension data across your devices, these settings sync through your own browser account. They are not transmitted to or stored by us.

Error reports (only if you submit one)

If you choose to report incorrect subscription data, the extension sends — and our server stores — the following, so we can investigate and fix it:

  • the Steam app ID of the game
  • the game's name
  • the page URL you were on
  • the message you write in the report
  • your IP address (used to limit the number of reports per day and to prevent abuse)

These reports are stored in our database and reviewed manually. They are kept until the issue is resolved and are used only to correct the extension's data and to prevent abuse — never for advertising or profiling. You can request deletion of a report you submitted via the contact options below.

What we do not collect

We do not create user accounts, and we do not collect personally identifiable information, health, financial, or authentication data, precise location, or your general browsing history. The extension contains no advertising and no third-party tracking. We never sell or transfer your data to third parties.

Service providers & hosting

Subscription data and submitted error reports are stored in a self-hosted PocketBase database on our own infrastructure. This website uses privacy-friendly, cookieless Umami analytics for aggregate visit statistics; the browser extension itself contains no analytics.
